La Resolución 103/2006 de la Sagpya, que crea el Sistema Nacional de Identificación del Ganado Bovino, establece la identificación individual obligatoria de los terneros al destete o previo al primer movimiento.

¿En qué beneficia la identificación al productor?
Ofrece garantías acerca de las condiciones sanitarias, mejorando el rastreo epidemiológico ante la posible aparición de cualquier enfermedad del ganado.

Si el productor no está inscripto para exportación, ¿debe hacer trazabilidad de todos modos?
No, solamente deberá identificar a los animales. No llevará registros en el establecimiento ni comunicará los códigos de las caravanas al solicitar el Documento de Tránsito Animal (DTA).

¿En qué consiste el nuevo sistema de identificación en el ganado bovino?
En identificar a los terneros, machos y hembras, con caravana tarjeta en oreja
izquierda y una botón-botón en la derecha, cualquiera sea su destino (consumo o
mercado de exportación).

¿El resto de las categorías van a estar identificadas?
No, quedarán identificadas a partir del crecimiento de los terneros que hoy y
anualmente se identifiquen.

¿Cuándo identifico a los terneros?
Al destete o previo a su traslado.

¿De qué color son las caravanas?
Amarillas o verdes. Amarilla para animales de establecimientos que deben ser
vacunados contra la fiebre aftosa y verde para los establecimientos que no se
vacunan.

¿Son diferentes que las caravanas anteriores?
Sí, son diferentes.

¿El productor que no exporta a la Unión Europea (UE) tiene que identificar igual?
Sí, es preciso recordar que todos los terneros y cualquiera sea su destino deben
estar identificados.

¿Qué hacer con los animales ya identificados?
Dejarlos con la misma identificación que tienen.

¿Qué hacer con las caravanas viejas sin usar? ¿Hay que tirarlas?
Se las puede utilizar hasta agotar su stock. Es necesario recordar que lo que no
puede hacerse es mover los terneros sin identificación. En la próxima compra
adquirir nuevas caravanas.

¿Cómo es la incorporación al nuevo Sistema de Identificación? ¿Cuáles son los requisitos?
Se debe solicitar en la oficina local de su jurisdicción la Clave Única de Identificación Ganadera (CUIG) y actualizar los datos en el Renspa. Como resultado del trámite le entregarán la credencial Renspa-CUIG.

¿Qué es el Renspa?
Es el Registro Nacional Sanitario de Productores Agropecuarios, en el que por medio de un código se asocia al productor agropecuario con el campo donde realiza su
actividad. El Renspa tiene datos del establecimiento, del productor, de la actividad
que allí realiza y de los animales que posee.

¿Qué es el CUIG?
Es la Clave Única de Identificación Ganadera, que establece un número abreviado del Renspa. Al mismo tiempo, forma parte del número individual del ternero y asocia al establecimiento y al productor con el animal en el momento del nacimiento, destete o primer movimiento. Consta en la credencial Renspa-CUIG. Al comprar las caravanas se solicita ese número debido a que forma parte de la identificación individual del animal. Facilita al productor el manejo de su establecimiento mediante la numeración correlativa de su rodeo.

¿Qué datos contiene la credencial Renspa-CUIG?
Nombre del titular y documento, establecimiento, número de Renspa, número de CUIG, código verificador, fecha de inscripción y partido o provincia.

¿Cuál es la importancia de la credencial Renspa-CUIG?
Esta credencial permitirá comprar las caravanas en las empresas registradas que
elija. Además, se pedirá para emisiones de Documento de Tránsito Animal (DTA) y cualquier trámite que realice en la oficina local.

¿Cómo se compran las caravanas?
No hay un procedimiento especial. Recuerde presentar la credencial al encargarlas.

¿Qué hay que tener en cuenta al recibir las caravanas?
Corroborar que se entreguen de a pares (tarjeta y botón-botón) junto con la
Planilla de Inscripción de Bovinos, que deben tener los números correspondientes a las caravanas impresas.

¿Cuál es el paso a seguir luego de comprar las nuevas caravanas?
El paso siguiente es identificar los animales que corresponden.

¿Hay qué completar los números de cada animal en la Planilla de Identificación de Bovinos?
No, sólo debe colocar las caravanas y, a su vez, completar las planillas.

¿Qué se debe hacer con las planillas una vez identificados los animales?
Se debe entregar el original a la oficina local correspondiente y archivar el duplicado en el establecimiento.

¿Para qué se presenta la planilla en la oficina local?
Para denunciar los nacimientos y de esa manera actualizar el stock ante el Senasa.

¿Se modifica la emisión del DTA?
No, sigue siendo igual. Para su emisión debe presentar la credencial Renspa-CUIG.

¿El invernador debe comprar caravanas?
El invernador adquiere animales ya identificados con caravanas amarillas o verdes, según el origen. Sin embargo, si algún animal pierde sus caravanas originales, el invernador debe reidentificar con caravanas celeste y de a pares (tarjeta y botón-botón).

¿Se pueden mover animales con una sola caravana?
No, siempre se debe mover con las dos caravanas (tarjeta y botón-botón).

¿Qué se debe hacer si se pierde una caravana?
Se debe reidentificar a los animales que la hayan extraviado.

¿Se puede reidentificar con caravanas amarillas compradas?
No. Se deben comprar las caravanas correspondientes que son de color celeste.

¿En qué situación se reidentifica con las caravanas celestes?
Ante la pérdida de la caravana original que traía el animal se debe extraer la caravana que queda y colocar en su lugar caravanas celestes, de manera que ambas orejas queden identificadas con caravanas celestes.

¿Qué se hace con la caravana que fue sacada?
Se debe guardar y posteriormente presentarla en la oficina local del Senasa junto con la planilla, comunicando la reidentificación de los animales.

¿Se deben completar las planillas?
Sí, se debe completar la Planilla de reidentificación que acompaña a esas caravanas. Luego, hay que presentar la planilla y la caravana que fue sacada (botón-botón o tarjeta) en la oficina local de su jurisdicción y conservar la copia en el establecimiento como resguardo.

¿Qué sucede si no se presenta la caravana original al denunciar la reidentificación?
Puede generarse una inspección o una irregularidad mayor, ya que se han perdido ambas caravanas.

¿Existen modificaciones en la documentación para exportar a la UE?
No, sólo es necesario recordar que al identificar los terneros al destete o ante el primer movimiento, se cuentan con nuevas caravanas (verdes o amarillas) y se debe presentar en la oficina local el original de la Planilla de Identificación Bovina. Una de las copias debe conservarse en el establecimiento. Además, para cualquier trámite debe presentarse la credencial Renspa-CUIG.

¿Qué documentación hay que presentar en la venta para consumo?
